First of all, we need to consider what is the regulation height of a dart board and the distance in order to hang the dartboard cabinet in the right position. The center of the board, the so-called Bull’s eye should be positioned at a height of 1.73 meters, while the distance of the oche, which is the throw-off line, should be positioned at 2.37 meters from the front of the dartboard.

3 darts for each player
This is a game generally played by two opponents, that is to say two individual players or two teams. Each player alternately throws 3 darts each time and counts the score according to the points of the darts that have to stuck on the target board. All the darts that bounce off the board won’t be counted. The points will be calculated from an initial score of 501 or 301 points backwards. This means that the points made by the dart on the board will be deducted from the initial score, and the player or the team that gets first to the score zero wins the game.
How to count the score on a dart board game
The dartboard surface is divided into 20 segments numbered occasionally without a specific order from 1 to 20. According to the sections of each segment, the scoring points can be calculated twice or triple the score number written on the board. There are three different scoring portions on each board, divided into single scores area, double scores area (Double Ring) and triple scores area (Triple Ring), in addition to the Bull, which is the center point of the target made by two circles that will be calculated 50 points for the inner circle (Double Bull), and 25 or 50 points, according to the game type, for the outer circle (Single Bull).
What is the “Double Out” ?
The classic dart game rule, as mentioned above, supposes that the winner is the one who first reach the score “zero”. But, it is important to know that this is not enough except in the case of exactly zero. In fact, for those who exceed the zero, the point won’t be calculated and he or she will have to throw again in the next turn, starting from the latest score. Another point that needs to be considered is that the last dart thrown must land in a double section or hit the bull’s eye, to be valid.
